AI is everywhere.
Half your team already sounds like they have a side hustle building prompts.
Meanwhile, you’re just trying to figure out the difference between Gemini and ChatGPT.
You want to stay ahead.
You want to sound smart in meetings.
But deep down, you’re wondering:
Am I falling behind if I’m not using 12 AI tools before breakfast?
I feel the same way. It seems like all my friends are using AI left, right, and center—and I’m still wondering…
What does Claude actually do?
Do I need to start cloning myself on Delphi?
Is there a version of AI that folds laundry?
If you feel overwhelmed, you’re not the only one.
👉 The Problem
You’re not behind because you haven’t mastered AI.
You’re behind if you never speak up.
Never share your wins.
Never challenge a bad idea.
Because that’s the stuff AI can’t do.
And it’s what your company actually needs more of.
👉 The Big Small Thing
What makes you irreplaceable isn’t your technical skills.
It’s how you think.
AI can optimize. But it can’t originate.
It can polish. But it can’t push back.
It can summarize your notes. But it can’t ask the uncomfortable question in the room.
The best professionals won’t compete with AI.
They’ll use it—while doubling down on the human skills tech can’t replicate:
✔ Fearless relationship-building
✔ A strong work ethic
✔ The ability to curb people-pleasing
✔ Pride in a job well done
These aren’t personality quirks. They’re leverage.
And they’re more valuable than ever.
5 ways to stand out in an AI world this week:
1. Push back on a last-minute request by your manager to protect your time.
Say: “Happy to help. So I can prioritize—does this take precedence over [other task]?”
2. Celebrate a team win while owning your role.
Say: “Huge team effort! Grateful to have led the [X] part. We hit [Y result]!”
3. Decline a meeting and suggest an async update instead.
Say: “Could we try a quick voice memo or shared doc update instead? Happy to circle back if it needs a live discussion.”
4. Reply-all with a point of view—not just agreement.
Instead of: “Great idea!”
Try: “This is great. One thing I’d add to strengthen it is…”
5. Tell your manager one thing you want to be known for.
Say: “I’ve been thinking a lot about my impact this year—and I’d love to be seen as someone who [trait or skill]. What would you recommend I focus on to get there?”
These are small, everyday moves.
But they build the kind of career momentum that no robot can replicate.

How This Helps You Get What You Want
You don’t have to become an AI guru.
You just have to become the kind of human AI can’t replace.
The one who challenges the default, takes risks, and leads the room.
If you want help stepping into that kind of bold thinking, that’s exactly why I wrote my new book Wild Courage.
Because no robot will ever have the guts to bet on itself.
But you can 😉
