I was on a call with a prospective keynote client a few weeks ago.
She said something that surprised me:
“I found you by Googling ‘speakers who teach people to lead through change with courage.’ Your website came up, and the language was exactly what we needed for our leadership event.”
I paused. I had no idea that specific phrase would bring up my website. What else showed up when people searched for me?
And then it hit me: If I want more keynote opportunities, I need to know what people are finding when they search for me.
More importantly, I need to make sure the RIGHT things show up.
The Problem
Whether you like it or not, people are Googling you.
The recruiter considering you for a role. The client deciding between you and a competitor. The conference organizer looking for a keynote speaker. The investor researching your company.
Do you know what shows up?
I didn’t. And if you want to make more money, get better opportunities, or be found by the right people, you need to know.
The Big Small Thing
After that call, I started looking for tools to help me understand:
That’s when I discovered today’s newsletter sponsor, Semrush One.
Semrush One is a visibility management platform that reveals exactly how you’re showing up online in Google AND in AI-generated answers.

Here are my favorite ways to use Semrush One:
1. Check Your Digital Footprint at Work
Google your name + your company. What shows up?
Are you listed on your team’s “About Us” page? Does your LinkedIn clearly say what you do and what you’re known for? If someone searched “[your name] + [your expertise],” would they find you?
When your manager is deciding who to recommend for a high-visibility project, or when a recruiter is searching for someone with your skills, they’re Googling you. If nothing shows up — or worse, outdated information appears — you’re invisible.
2. Prompt Research (This One Blows My Mind!)
It tells me what questions people are typing into AI that lead to my keynote page. Now I know what language my ideal clients are using, what questions I should answer on my website, and how to show up in those AI answers.
You need to know what questions your ideal clients are asking AI, so you can answer them on your website and LinkedIn.
Being good at what you do isn’t enough. You have to be FOUND.
With AI changing how people search, you need to show up in ChatGPT answers, Gemini, Claude recommendations, and whatever comes next.
